disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda. Although not affiliated
with Yogananda's Self-realization Fellowship, the focus
is on Yogananda's Kriya yoga.

A private non-profit organization, Yoga
Inside Foundation brings yoga to incarcerated youth
and adults in juvenile halls and probation camps, and to

centers, as well as community settings where isolation and
economic deprivation make yoga unavailable. Operating in

Yoga Research and Education Center (YREC) was
established by noted author and researcher Georg Feuerstein
in 1996 to conduct and promote textual, historical, and
comparative research on Yoga, and to promote and serve as
a clearinghouse for medical, psychological, and other scientific

also publishes the tri-annual Yoga Studies newsletter and
